Welcome to Romeo
We know that checking out a church for the first time can raise
the blood pressure. So let’s take a little tour through your experience
so you know exactly what to expect before you get here.
What to Expect During Your First Visit
What do I wear?
A lot of us grew up going to churches where you had to dress up.
Certainly, there will be some people who come to church all
dressed up. But we just want you to wear what you are comfortable in.
We’re pretty sure God doesn’t care what you wear. So expect to see
people in suits, people in shorts, and pretty much everything in
between.
Arrival
It might be a good idea to make it to the church 10-15 minutes before
the service begins to give yourself a chance to get comfortable before the service begins. Park in either the front parking lot or
in the rear and make your way into the building. As you enter through
the vestibule, head to your right and stop by the Resource Center. (If
you don’t get welcomed at the front doors make sure you say hello to
someone behind the counter) If you have kids, we’ll help you get them
to KidsTown, the nursery, or toddler area. Learn about KidsTown After that, head towards the sanctuary.
Before the service begins
We invite you to check out the building, enjoy some snacks, meet some
people, or just quietly sit in the sanctuary and listen to music.
The service
Our service will last about 1 hour. We’ll begin with a worship song,
we’ll be welcomed by a staff member and then have a brief time of
greeting. After that expect to sing a few more songs, (Some you may
have heard before, some may be new to you. Don’t worry as all the words
will be displayed for you) followed by a message by our Senior Pastor Bob Bryant. Our services are rarely the same order week to week, but typically you can expect us to take an offering, as well as present a drama or video. When the service concludes, expect to see people mingle around for a little while. When you are ready, pick up your kids, and you are dismissed.
Who attends the services?
KidsTown is for children under 12, (6th grade and under) so expect to see people in our worship service from 12 years old and up. Learn about our Student Ministry.
What else?
We’d certainly hope that you'd see your visit as a chance to connect to our faith community. Romeo
is filled with wonderful people who love the Lord and are just real,
normal people. We come from all walks of culture, all sorts of
backgrounds and denominations to unite together in worship and life.
It’s our hope that when you visit this Easter that it’s just the
beginning of a life with us.
